With regard to the training activities, the Group's initiatives continued throughout the financial year at the Foundation's headquarters, of particular note were the courses “Activation Day”, “Supply Chain” and “Competency-Lab”, as well as those of Ligurian companies such as Ansaldo Energia, Ansaldo STS and Selex Elsag.

Increase in the archival heritage through purchases: the collection “Italia di navigazione” by Francesco De Giovanni, ex head of Administration for the company; the collection “Andrea Doria” by Francesco Scotto, ex head of Italia di Navigazione; the BredaMenarinibus SpA, Bologna historical archive, composed of management documentation, photographs and films from the 1920s to the 1990s; purchase of a collection of Costa advertisements from the Costa family; purchase of a collection of share and bond certificates from Gianmario Corpino.

Start of work on the hardcopy documentation of the “Ilva” archive, composed of around 7,000 units for the period 1882-1993 (declared as being of significant historical interest by Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali (Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism) on 13/3/2006).

The educational activities saw the Group's initiatives carried forward in the Foundation's headquarters, as well as those of Ligurian companies such as Ansaldo Energia, Ansaldo Nucleare, Ansaldo STS and Selex ES; the course “Attività di montaggio e avviamento di impianti per la produzione di energia elettrica" (Installation and start-up of electricity generation systems, May) was also held alongside Perform and Ansaldo Energia;

The archival activities included the purchase of a collection of photographs documenting the renovation of the Ansaldo headquarters in Via Pieragostini, Genova in 1982; a collection of documentation from the company “Eternit SpA”, 1958-1986; documentation from the ASGEN company of Genoa-Sestri from the 1940s to the 1970s; a framed drawing in India ink and watercolour entitled “Piano relativo al tratto di strada ferrata discorrente in Sampierdarena fra la porta della galleria di S. Benigno e l’argine sinistro della Polcevera” illustrating the plan of a section of railway line, September 1846.

Agreement with ILSREC - Istituto Ligure per la Storia della Resistenza e dell’Età Contemporanea institute for digitisation of audio accounts on the resistance, with the acquisition of accounts on the resistance in factories and, more generally, in the world of work.
